VolleyBall - Open Gyms

Welcome to the Open Gym section of my webpage. Below you will find the Open Gyms that I currently have information about. If I do receive more information from YOU the volleyball crowd of Chicago I will break this up into Open Gyms by region/city/etc... But I need your help in order to make this work!

PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST GYMS BELOW ARE CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER!
If you are looking to play outdoor ball during the summer check out North Avenue (Just north of Navy Pier) or Montrose Ave Beach (North Side off of Montrose Ave). North Ave. is THE spot to play over the summer with tons of pick up ball going on all the time. Montrose is a bit more layed back, but still a great time.

This is a Phenomenal Open Gym with great play on both courts. Very crowded on Tuesday nights, not sure about Thursdays though. If you are looking for hard hitting competitive ball this is the place to go.

Brand new state of the art gym with 3 courts. Each court can be divided by a curtain. In the summer the gym is super cooled. The crowd is a bit thin. However, it's a good place to bring a team to practice if you need an open court. Level varies week by week. Be ready to deal with a VERY diverse crowd. I went there and it was somewhat weak early in the night, but the crowd thinned to a more competitve group later on.

Two courts with BB, B play and a friendly competitive crowd. This is a very structured gym. The administrator only allows 35 people maximum. Arrive before 10 because the gym (Almost always) fills to 35 and the doors are then locked. Captains are chosen and then teams are picked.

This is another Great Open Gym. The play isn't the same caliber as the Rec Plexx or New City. This is a very friendly crowd who are interested in having a great social setting while playing some v-ball.
